Dear CLPE Parents / Guardians,

Welcome to the 2021-22 school year at CLPE, an IB World School! We hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable summer. We are excited to see everyone soon.

We look forward to engaging with your children and continuing to be lifelong learners. We will keep our roots planted deep in the 100 plus year history that we are lucky to be a part of as we continue to reflect, collaborate, and strive to support your students to grow academically and socially. Like beginning anything new, the year before us will surely be filled with periods of excitement, anxiety, wonder, joy, and growth.  Because of CLPE’s caring and motivated community and staff, the 2021-22 school year will be another one full of learning and fun!  Please join us in welcoming our newest teammates to CLPE:  Jessica McGuire – Speech Language Pathologist, Sarah Bolduc – Social Worker, Lacey Shupe - Occupational Therapist, Pam Fuller and Lisa Lopez – Instructional Paraprofessionals, and Brendan Solano – School Resource Officer.

We at CLPE consider the relationship with parents a partnership. We look forward to working together to support all children to be successful. Your child’s teacher is your partner in ensuring school is a positive environment. Please do not hesitate to call or email us as questions, concerns or celebrations come up. We want to hear from you and welcome open lines of communication.

Our school day is from 8:10 a.m.-2:55 p.m. We will provide supervision starting at 8:00 a.m. When arriving, students may choose to pick up a breakfast and take it with them to the outside door of their classroom. They will line up at their outside door until teachers invite them in the classroom to begin their day. At the end of the day children will be dismissed to ride the bus or be called on a radio to come to the parent pick up line when you arrive. If you choose to park you are welcome to meet your child at their outside classroom door. If you stay in the parent pick up line your child will come to you. Writing your student’s name on a paper for the staff member to see can help our staff call names more quickly and get students on their way to your car in an efficient manner.  We ask that we keep the line moving and have you pull up as far as you can before your child enters your vehicle. The parking lot is a very busy place before and after school. Please be aware of the busses at the front of the school at arrival and dismissal. Once the busses have left you can drive past the front of the school to access the east parking lot.

We look forward to making our year together enjoyable as we support our students to grow academically as well as in their social and emotional skills. We will strive to bring curiosity, hope, strength, and joy to any given situation. Together let’s focus on what we have in our control and strive to create opportunities for our students to shine.

Again, welcome to our CLPE pirate waters for the 2021-2022 school year. We may be small, but we are mighty. Together we grow – cultivating hope and curiosity!
