My favorite part of being here at CLPE is watching the incredible change in the students from kindergarten to 5th grade. Even the change in the kinders from the beginnig of the year to the end of the year. They become so confident and you can see they feel such a part of the school, showing ownership and respect for others. It is always such a treat for me to meet and get to know the families and also to have the kids come back after they are in high school. I really love this community!
Dogs, hiking, music, reading, the beach.
Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens - it represents the contrast in life between those that have little resources and those that have much and that kindess can occur even in the most dour of circumstances. I love Dickens description and word usage, it makes me have to think, which is always a good thing. :)
I used to work at a residential school for children with Autism for 10 years. I taught dog obedience for 15 years in Massachusetts before I moved back to Colorado.
Besides the kids and families and wonderful community, we have an incredible staff that care so much about eachother, the students, as well as being dedicated to making this a safe and happy place where students can learn and wonder!
