CLPE has been a place for me to teach, as well as learn myself. One thing I really love about being an educator is being students' biggest fans and building strong relationships with all the students in my class to make learning authentic and meaningful for everyone.
I love being outside whether I am riding my bike, hiking in the mountains, canoeing on Horsetooth Lake, skiing, or reading a book in my hammock.
My favorite books are the ones I can make come to life and read aloud! In the past few years I have spent my time reading books that focus on becoming a great teacher.
I was a cheerleader at the University of Northern Colorado. Go Bears!
CLPE is a great place to grow and learn not only as a student but as a person as well! Since CLPE is an IB school that means students are constantly asking questions about the world and inquiring about the topics discussed in class. We at CLPE are learning how to solve the problems of the world!
When students come into my classroom I want them to feel comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes, and celebrate their victories. In my IB classroom students will not only learn everything a fifth grader needs to succeed but they will also learn how to encompass the IB learner profile traits. We will practice being good communicators, reflecting periodically, being open-minded with others’ ideas and many more!
