I love being an educator because I have the opportunity to work with amazing people every day! The interactions I have on a daily basis are moving and thought provoking. In my job, I have the opportunity to be a lifelong learner and have the benefit of being inspired by young and enthusiastic minds! I love that what I do truly has the potential to make a difference in our future.
My interests and hobbies are spending time with my family. We love to ski in the winter and paddleboard during the summer. My son and I run 5K races together and my daughter and I enjoy cooking and baking together.
I have many favorite books! One of my favorites is Only One You by Linda Kranz. It is a book with a great message about how to live life in a positive way and make our world a better place.
During the summer, throughout my college years, I worked for the Forest Service building trails and coordinating a volunteer wilderness ranger program in the San Juan National Forest.
CLPE is a special school because it is truly a community school. We believe all children can thrive given the right circumstances. We are continuously working to make our school a place where students find success and grow!
I believe daily life provides opportunities to approach the world through an IB lense. Our school strives to create a community where people are curious and caring. We hope to instill a passion for learning and give students skills to apply knowledge in a way that motivates the individual as well as supports our community as a whole.
